Our Anny has "retired" from being a Mom - it really wasn't her idea of a good time. Such a lovely girl, with a great big heart - my fondest hope for her was to find a loving home where she could get all the individual attention she craved. Some dogs are just happier as "only children" - providing they get a chance to play and romp with other dogs as a treat.
She found her match in the Okanogan area - and it truely was love and devotion (on both parts) at first glimps.
Although we'll miss her, I couldn't be happier for her and her new Dad.
Update on Cinder...
She and my Dad are inseparable - a mutually agreed upon state.
She adopted a stray Cat (black & white tuxedo female - Mom is calling Mittens)- so Mom & Dad have both again. Just the way of "our" world it seems. It really is cute to see them cuddled up with each other on the "dog" bed - their markings and colors are identical.
I still take our pups, Faithe, & Suny over to romp and play with her on the beach - and she still is a great teacher for them.
NOTE: Not all "retirees" get as good a situation. I often hear of adult springers that are looking for quality homes. If you think you might want to look into it - drop me a line.
